Palais Garnier – opened in 1875 as the Académie Nationale de Musique – Théâtre de l'Opéra, renamed Palais Garnier in 1989. Built to the design of Charles Garnier. It is still referred to as the Paris Opéra
Opéra Bastille – opened in 1989, this theatre is the principal venue of the Opera company.
