The Dubai Autodrome is an FIA sanctioned 5.39 km motorsports circuit located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Opened in October 2004, Dubai Autodrome was the first part of the MotorCity devolopment that was available for use.[1] The venue hosted the December 2005 A1 Grand Prix and has been proposed as a Formula One venue, but is unlikely due to Abu Dhabi hosting a Formula 1 race from 2009. The track, which was created to rival the Bahrain International Circuit and to bring motorsport to has failed to an extent and as of 2008 the only international series it is hosting is the GP2 Asia winter series of which it is the base of and the Speedcar series, both which are also hosted at nearby Bahrain.
